Answer
Hello Anthony.,

I found this question in the pool of questions other experts had thrown away.  I do not know when you asked it or how long you have waited for an answer. I am not sure why another expert would place your question there?

These coins are two different types, The Morgan dollar and the Peace Dollar.
The 1890 US One Dollar Coin is the Morgan type dollar and there is a heraldic eagle on the reverse, with arrows in his talon and ready to fight. They were made at four mints. Philadelphia has no mint mark but the New Orleans and San Francisco Minted coins show a mint mark below the eagle (above and between the letters "D" and "O" in the word DOLLAR). Look for any mint mark on the back of the 1921 between the D and O in DOLLAR below the eagle. The O, S marks are similar in value.
If your Coin has a CC mint mark please write me back it may be worth much more.

The 1923 US One Dollar Coin is the Peace type dollar. There were no Morgan dollars made this year!
The PEACE DOLLAR depicts Lady Liberty on the obverse. And it has an American Bald Eagle on the reverse sitting at rest, with his wings down but always looking forward. This is symbolizing peace after WWI ended. But collectors usually want them in high grade. Higher grade coins runs from $15.00 to $40.00

For both the 1923 Peace and 1890 Morgan Dollar in circulated grades or if very worn sell for the silver value only. If these are common Mint Marks but in collectable condition, both the Morgan and Peace type sell to collectors for $14 to $19 dollars if circulated and less to dealers unless you have the Carson City Minted coin.

If there any more information you require on this question just ask.

Thank You and Good Luck
