Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Kennedy coin

Question
In my grandfathers things, I found a Kennedy coin that has JFK's face on the front and one the back is written, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country  JFK"
It is the same size of a 50 cent piece but I know that it is not a real coin.
Is this worth anything?

Answer
Hi Melanie,

This is a medal, not a coin that was probably made to commemorate Kennedy's most famous line.
I know of no collector value in the general market, however, there may be a buyer on eBay.  You may want to check that.
