Question
Hi,
I have a silver Liberty Quarter but it has no date, however it does have a "M" on the lower right on the side with the image of Miss Liberty

Answer

Standing Lib
Hello Connie,

The Standing Liberty Quarter Dollar was made from 1916 to 1930. Yours is probably a pre-1926 since the date is so worn.

Also the Type One coins from 1916 and 1917 are valued higher. See if there are three stars under the eagle on the reverse.
If the stars are not present and it is a 1916 coin it is very collectable and should be looked at by a professional.

If it is 1918 or later it will sell for $2.50 or less with no date.

Herman MacNeil is the designer of this coin and it is his initial M is located above and to the right of the date. The Mint mark, if any is located is to the left of the date and would be an S. No quarters were made at Denver in 1930.

Good Luck
