Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Mint Error Coin

Question
Mr Papajack,
My father found a mint error coin around 1958 and has held it since.  It is a silver Washington D quarter that was struck on a dime panchlet. The date was part of the coin that was left off from the strike.
He recently had the coin certified and sealed by NGC as "Mint Error AU 58" and now is considering selling it.
Any suggestion on the asking price?  I have several photos that I could forward to you on request.
Regards,
Dave Reinhardt
