Question
Seeking value on troy rounds if you please.
side one: Parliament Shield dated 1983 Eagle crest/11 stars
side two: One troy ounce .999 fine silver 31.1 grams weights and measure symbol.
p.s. some are discolored some are still packaged.

Answer
Daphne,

All value will be only for the silver they contain, regardless of packaging or any discoloring.

There is currently an unusually high premium for silver bullion right now -- at least a couple dollars.  So take the current value of an ounce of silver (about $10) and add a couple dollars premium to it, and you should be able to get about $12 apiece for your one ounce rounds.  This premium is unusual and may not last long, so keep that in mind.

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.

Experience

I've been a coin dealer since the 1980's and a coin collector since the 1960's. I specialize in U.S. Silver Coins and have an active online website -- The Working Man's Rare Coins -- http://www.workingmancoins.com -- offering information and inventory in U.S. coins.
