Answer
Hello Josh,

All USA quarters do have a reeded edge and all quarters since 1965 have a pure copper center and only a coating of a 75% copper and  25% nickel alloy on the outter surfaces.

This is more noticeable on coins that have been worn on the edge.

I am sure your coin is not valuable but if it is the right size and weight. The edge image looks normal to me. Sometimes the copper gets drawn closer to the edge when it is stamped out.

If you want I can help you find a coin person in your area if you write me back. Please remember to make your question private.

I hope this information helps.

Good Luck
