Question
I have a penny collection that include all the state pennies from 1971 for each state in the U.S. The pennies are and always have been framed and are in mint condition. Each penny displays a different memorable American achievements and/or scenic countryside views. Is this collection worth much and should I get it insured?

Answer
Hi Phil,

These pennies were not produced at the US Mint.  Some enterprising company took normal pennies and counterstamped them for the set.

I know of no extraordinary value for these.

Look on eBay fo similar items to get a true reflection of their value in the current market
