Coin and Paper Money Collecting/1999 Georgia quarter

Question
Dear Sir:
I have recently found a 1999 Georgia state quarter that is apparently stamped only on one side. The opposiste side does not appear to be altered, ground, filed, etc. as that would leave markings. There is also no ridge on that side and is grayish, silver in color. Any idea of what the value, if any would be?

Answer
Hi Paul,

The first thing I suggest is submitting the coin to NGC, (Numismatic Guarantee Corporation), for authentication.

Once that is done, a value can be placed on it.  My only guess, if the coin is genuine, is that it may have been a trial piece.  If that is the ase, it can be quite valuable.

Contact NGC at NGCCoin.com

Good Luck.
