Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Messed Up Coin

Question
I have come across a new coin that must have been made when they changed the coin type and metal because I have a coin that is partial copper and partial nickel half and half on the outside otherwise perfect coin. Is a mismatch coin worth anything?

Answer
Hello Henry,

It sounds to me like the nickel lamination may have run out when they made the coin blanks.  It certainly has more value than a normal coin but I would have to see it to determine how much it is worth.

If you would like to ship it to my office, I will review it for you.
