Question
QUESTION: I have two one dollar bills joined along the long edge.  They are series 2008, serial #'s D99669123 A and D99694123 A.  Is this some sort of collectors promotion by the us mint?  I've heard of whole sheets of one dollar bills uncut.  Thanks for any information!   Greg

ANSWER: Hello Greg, The Bureau of Engraving and Printing does make 4 count $1 uncut sheets along with other count types.  Sounds like this is a cut up sheet.  Thanks for the question.  Troy Thoreson

QUESTION: I'm assuming then, this has no value beyond face value.  I do get some amusement showing folks my "$2.00 bill"

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.  Greg

Answer
Hi Greg,  Its basically a novelty item.  If fully attached and undamaged (no folds or dings on the corners) the notes are worth face to double face depending on who you talk to.  Full retail in a shop would be around 3X face.  If used or damaged they are worth face and will make a great tip at a restaurant.  Thanks!
