Coin and Paper Money Collecting/I have a silver color penny

Question
Hi I have a silver color penny of 1976 with the liberty bell at Lincoln's left and the USA map at the right. I wonder if it haves any value??

Answer
Hello, Marlie, these were novelty items, made after minting to add the liberty bell and the map.  The silver color was either added too, or the piece may not be a cent at all.  They usually have very small nominal value.  You can try going to www.ebay.com and doing a search for penny liberty bell; or penny USA map etc. to see if anything comes up and someone is selling something like what you have, Jim Lawniczak
