Question
I closely read this answer:
http://en.allexperts.com/q/Coin-Collecting-2297/coin-6.htm
I have the same coin without date and value. But this coin not similar to Spain PillarDollar.
It's look like this replica:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Replica-U-S-Liberty-One-Ounce-dollar_W0QQitemZ110327550073QQ...

, but more naturally and without "copy" stamp. The Elaine's description is very accurate. Weight of coin is 30 grams (0,965oz) and material is silver.
But I can't find description of this/same coin or original of replica in worst case.
If You need I'll glade sent you scan of this coin.
Please help me identify it.

Answer
Hello Alexandr,
Sorry to bother you
I did not see the image I up-loaded of the original design on a US Dime? Did the image print for you?
If not let me know I will re-send it.

Hello Alexandr,

This is not a coin at all. This is one of the countless silver rounds being produced.
Its value is the current price of one ounce of silver. They are made in rounds and rectangles (bars) then sold to the public at a premium over the spot market.

Some are made using coin designs (as yours) and I have seen tractors presidents, company logos etc. They are categorized as Silver Art Bars (or rounds) and as I said trade at the current price of silver. Some rare metallic art sell at a higher value but most are produced in the millions.

Here are just two silver round dealers to browse if you want.

The design is not marked COPY or R for replica and does not have to be. The actual coin design it is coping is the Winged Liberty Head Dime (Mercury dime) made from 1916 to 1945.
The piece you have is more than 3 times larger than the original coin and therefore should not be mistaken for the authentic coin.

The medalist design artist A. A. Weinman made the original art sculpture of Lady Liberty wearing a winged helmet symbolizing Freedom of Thought.
I believe it to be one of the most beautiful designs ever issued on a circulating coin. The art on the auction picture you sent does not compare to the original work.

I am including a photo of an original coin for you but the photography does not do it justice.

If there any more information you require on this question just ask.

Thank You and Good Luck

PapaJack
