Coin and Paper Money Collecting/1936 penny

Question
I have a 1936 penny in which i have done research on and found out that there are a lot of pennys that year that are worth a lot and had a couple of questions. First, how do i know if the penny is actually one of the double died pennys from that year? And second, on the front of the penny, the word Liberty is clearly missing part of the R for sure being a misprint, what kind of value does the penny have? Its in really good condition too for its age...I would appreciate a professional opinion or two  THANKS, Stefan

Answer
If it were a double die, you would see that the lettering and details are doubled.  This would be clearly visible.  The part of the R that is missing is probably the result of grease in the dies.  This is a common error and not widely collected.
Unfortunately, it sounds like your penny is just too common to carry a premium.
