Coin and Paper Money Collecting/1944 dime

Question
I have recently found a 1944 Liberty Head dime with a one cent wheat emblem stamped on the back.  Do you know what this might be worth?

Answer
Robert, this would have to be viewed by an expert.  I think this might have happened if someone hammered a cent into the dime after minting.  If that is the case, the wheat reverse of the cent should be, I would think, incuse into the dime.  The piece would only have value if the problem occurred during the minting process.  I'm having trouble imagining how a cent die could get anywhere near the dime production, although I think there have been examples of clashed dies where different demoninations were involved.  Try going to www.ebay.com and doing a search for clashed dies and for multi-demoninational clashed dies and see if anyone is selling and look at the pictures.  Also try a search for multi-demoninational clashed dies at www.google.com.  Jim Lawniczak
