Question
I would like to know the rate that I could sell a number of these coins.  I would like to know if it would be better to sell them in bulk like to a dealer or individually on ebay.

Answer
Hello Patsy,

Both the 1986 Statue of Liberty Dollar (90% silver) and half Dollar (copper and nickel) are common and usually found in very high grade condition.
Their list retail price is less than the mint sold them for in 1986.
You would get a higher price for them selling them retail and to collectors than trading them to a dealer that in all likelihood already has a bunch.
It was released in different versions in 1986. For the 2 coin sets there was one with an Un-circulated Silver dollar and a nickel clad half dollar, as well as a Proof 90% silver dollar and a Proof Clad Half.
Both are listed retail for $15 to $20 in the catalogs.  The half-dollar sells for $6 to $8 dollars retail.
You can try to package some together if your eBay auction gets no bids.
An eBay search shows most dollars last month sold for $1350 this is about the silver value in the coin.
And the half dollar sold from $4.25 to $9.00 including the US Mint packaging.

If you have a different coin let me know.

Thank You and Good Luck
