Coin and Paper Money Collecting/2 Dollar Bill

Question
We just found a crisp 2$bill in a closet of a house we purchased.  It was hidden in a closet.  It is a series 1978.  Is it worth anything?

Answer
Sorry, Deirdre, there is no $2 bill series 1978.  There was a series 1976.  Please check closely.  There were many millions of the series 1976 $2 made.  Therefore, they really have no collector value (they are of course worth the $2).   Go to www.ebay.com and search for $2 bill 1976 and related searches to see what is for sale.  There is also an article on the $2 bill at wikipedia:
