father found double headed quarter with 1982 on one side and 1993 on the other one side was warn more then the other

Answer
Sorry but you have a manufactured novelty item, known as a magician's coin, made by altering two normal coins and gluing the pieces back together.

Using a strong magnifier, check both sides of the coin, just inside the raised rims, looking for a seam where the two pieces have been fit back together.

These novelty items sell for a couple dollars, on eBay or in magic shops.
