Question
What is a 1991D lincoln penny with no rear copper, and unstruck on reverse side only worth( front side is normal)?

Answer
Alan, I have been told by metal experts that it is not possible to strike a coin on one side only.  There must be a die on the other side.  Therefore, the most likely explanation is that someone planed off the reverse.  This makes sense too in that the copper came off the rear as well (probably showing the underlying zinc, silver in color).  Look carefully, your piece probably isn't as think as a usual piece.  There is no value for damage done to a piece after it is minted, Jim Lawniczak
