Question
I found some old german coins
1) 1912 10 ppfennig mint mark under eagle DD fairly good
2) 1942 10 pfennig eagle holding swaztika  mint mark A

Answer
Linda, there is no DD German mintmark; there was a 1912D 10 pfennig coin, the mint mark was from Munich.  It is not that rare a piece, and value depends on condition.  The 1942A (A for Berlin) is a very common piece.  If you go to www.ebay.com and do a search for 10 pfennig 1912 and 10 pfennig 1942, you will see one 1912A coin for sale in the eBay store for $1 (the A from 1912 is a little more common than the D) and for 1942, you'll see 4 items including a 1942 A in not so great condition selling for 29 cents.  Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
