Question
I cant seem to get a clear answer on whether silver certificates are worth at least face value or not. I know a lot of people are wondering the same. I recentley saw 100 one dollar cert for 9.00 at a auction site. can you clear this up for me???

Answer
William, yes they remain good U.S. Currency backed by the United States government (as all prior U.S. currency still is).  They can no longer be turned in for silver (since 1968).
