Question
i found a penny that is about 1/4 of the size of a regular penny its also a lighter color of a normal penny, everything on the penny is just as visible as the regular size penny. we clearly see that it is a 1975 d penny. we believe that it is a misprint and were wondering if it might be worth anything. thank you.

Answer
Hello, John, there's no way that anything at the mint would make a real U.S. mint cent that was only 1/4 size.  There have been replica small coins made and it sounds like this is what you have.  They usually come in sets (i.e., one cent through half dollar, for example).  Try going to www.ebay.com and doing a search for miniture coins and see what comes up.  Jim Lawniczak
