Question

Lincoln Penny
PapaJack,
I have a 1975 D Lincoln penny that looks like if may have flipped when struck and part of the Lincoln memorial is stamped over the face of Lincoln I have attached photo for your review. Is there any value to this coin?

Answer
Hello Al,

Something like this is better evaluated when seen in person. There are too many variables not described in your question to me. And the photograph is blurry.

If you want a coin dealer near you, write me back with your general location (nearest large cities), some telephone area code or codes for your local and some zip codes in your area, I can direct you to an AMERICAN NUMISMATIC ASSOCIATION MEMBER/DEALER near there. They are ethical and trustworthy. They will look at the coin for free.

For general information on collectable error coins look for the book "The ERROR COIN ENCYCLOPEDIA" by Arnold Margolis.
It goes into detail about how errors have occurred at the mint.  Your Library may have a copy or it is inexpensive to buy.

Thank You and Good Luck
