Question
While investigating coins, I have found the following...CA, CAM, & UCAM. What is the difference?
Hi Bob,
CA, CAM and Cameo are all the same. They simply designate a coin as having a Cameo appearance.
UCAM and DCAM are the same. The indicate that the coin has a higher contrast of "cameo-ness" These 2 terms are used by NGC and PCGS, as are the terms above. Why they don't use the same terminology is anyone's guess.
