Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Replicas

Question
How can one tell if they have a replica? I have 11 Common wealth of Massachusetts copper cent coins dated 1788. Are the replicas marked? Thanks! John.

Answer
Hi John,

Each coin would have to be inspected.  Modern day replicas are stamped as such, but old ones are not.

Knowledgable dealers can tell just by looking at a coin if it is genuine, but the older pieces that were hand hammered can be tougher.

If you would like to send them to me, I would be more than happy to review them and offer my opinion.
