Question
I came across this coin/medal pendant thingy that I know nothing about. On one side it has the Liberty Bell, above it, it says "Proclaim Liberty Throughout the Land" and on the bottom it says "Americas Bicentennail Celebration". On the right it has 1776 and 1976 under that. On the other side of the coin it has the 2 drummer men with the other guy playing the flute, or something. On the upper left side it says "The Spirit of '76" and on the other side of the men, it says "Bicentennial Celebration". Under their feet it has 1776-1976.
I have found only one coin like this the only difference is the fact that mine has that bicentennial celebrationon it. The other pendant didn't. I have looked EVERYWHERE and am having no luck finding anything even close to what I have.
If you could help me out, even just a little, it would be soooo greatful.
Thank you.

Answer
Hi Amber,

Like everything else in life, if there is an opportunity to capitalize on something and make money, people jump in.

There were many pendants, medals, tokens, etc to commemorate the bicentennial of the US.  Unfortunately, probably all of them are worthless except for actual US Government issued pieces, or ones made of silver or gold.

Your item was probably produced by one such marketing company, merely to turn a profit.
