Coin and Paper Money Collecting/coin value?

Question
hi,how much cost 1884 one us dollar coin?

Answer
esmaeil -- the answer depends on condition (the better condition the greater value) and whether the dollar does or does not have a mintmark (there are 1884 dollars with no mintmarks made in Philadelphia and others with CC, O and S mintmarks).  Go to www.ebay.com and do a search for 1884 dollar and you'll see quite a few for sale.  There is nothing you can do to improve the "condition" of your dollar by cleaning or otherwise, so please don't try, you'll only reduce its value, perhaps substantially.  In today's coin market, any coin that has a significant value must be "slabbed" by an independent third party grading service to be saleable for that value.  You'll see quite a few slabs for sale on eBay.  Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
