It does not contain 1 ounce of gold. It is in fact 6 grams of fine 24 carat gold. The price of this commemorative gold coin at date of issue  (30 April 1980) was 995 Dutch Guilders. When the Guilder was replaced by the Euro, the exchange value of the Euro was set at 2,20 Dutch Guilders per Euro. So 995 divided by 2,20. It was a limited edition of 5000 coins.

It was issued in an original red leather case with velvet lining to keep it in mint condition. You will not see one for sale very often as they are kept as heirlooms and passed down the generations as rare pieces of their national history inside Dutch families in the Netherlands. As this is an heirloom that doesn't fade, due to being gold, as opposed to silver and most other metals, it is very rarely offered on the open market. Add its rarity plus its age /antiquity to estimate the value.
