Question
Dear Brad,
I have some paper notes which I hope you might be able to provide some information on and value of.  They are:
1 Een (Nederlandsch-Indie) paper note - van 2 Maart 1943
10 Tien (Nederlandsch-Indie) paper note - van 2 Maart 1943
5 Vijf (Nederlandsch-Indie) paper note - van 2 Maart 1943
and
Five Dollars Board of Commissioners of currency Malaya) paper note - 1 July 1941
Many thanks
Trish

Answer
Hi Trish, Collector value of a note depends on date and condition, including amount of wear, any folds, tears or stains as well as collector demand.
The 3 1943 Netherlands East Indies (Indonesia area) notes are for 1, 5 and 10 Guldens. They each may be worth .25 to maybe $10 depending on amount of wear and collector demand.
The last note is a British Malaya $5 note actually issued in 1945. It may be worth about $5 to maybe $60 depending on amount of wear and collector demand.
You may find similar pieces on Ebay.com for comparison. You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
Brad
