Coin and Paper Money Collecting/1908 penny

Question
how much does a 1908 penny worth?

Answer
Hello Wendy,

Coins are valued on a scale from 1 to 70. And on how rare a coin is. With no or little experience it is sometimes easier letting another collector look at them, and even most coin shops will help for free.

So grading a coin to set an actual value is needed. Mint mark, state of preservation and any problems (dents, scratch, having ever been cleaned etc.) decide the price.
The values here are estimates for collectors at retail levels.

The 1908 Indian cent no mint mark sells from $1 in grade 4 to $7 in grade 50. However a 1908 with the S mint mark sells from $40 in grade 4 to $150 in grade 50.

Hope this information helped.
Good Luck
