Question
QUESTION: I just came across 2 coin offers that are way different in price & I would like to know why? The US Mint has a 14 coin set for 2007 with the S mint code. They call it a mint proof set & sell it for $26.95.  The Home Shopping Network has a 14 coin set for 2007 with the s mint code. They call theirs a PR69 DCAM proof set & sell it for $169.95.  If they are both 2007-S, 14 coin, proof sets why such a difference in price?
Thank You

QUESTION: I thought that since the HSN coins were graded that might account for the difference in price. I have seen that it costs $14.00 & up per coin to have them graded. I don't believe that the coins from the US Mint as graded.
Could this be the case?

Answer
True but buy from a local dealer at a MUCH lower rate and all this high grade hypr is just that HYPE of course they will get a high grade they were just minted in sets and sent out to dealers as far as the HSN is concerned I wish I could sell coins at those prices I would retire in week EDUCATE YOURSELF knowlege is power
