Question
Hi Joe, I wanted to ask you how I can find out the value of a $20 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle coin that I have. I've had it for a while and I didn't even think that it was worth anything, but I was bored and started doing a little bit of research on it and I think I have one. My luck is that I have a fake on,lol... Anyways, I wanted to ask you if you can tell me how much its worth if I send you a picture of it. How would I go about really getting it appraised and sold and where and how should I do it. Sorry to ask you so many questions. Thank you and have a good day.

Answer
HI Marcos,

Morst professional coin dealers should be able to confirm authenticity of the coin.
If it is a common date piece, the minimum it is worth is $900 and it could be more if it is a rarer date or in high quality.
