Question
I found a coin-It has no date...it has a side of a penny(tail) and the other side a (dime's) tail ...it is not heavy as it would be if they were two separate coins...(a dime and a penny?) its thin as a dime ...when dropped sounds like a penny on its side and a dime as it would on its side...I  would like to know if someone can tell me what this coin might be...(a rare coin) or an error coin)? plz... thank you I can't find it at the library....thanx again....christina

Answer
Hello Christina,

These so called 11 cent pieces are fake coins made for magic tricks.
They are produced after the minting process for tricks. Since the US mint did not produce it there is no collectable value associated with it except as a novelty item.
