hello i have a quarter where the year is misprinted it says 198. i have examined it and the last number was not wore off is just not there at all.

Hi Bryan,

Errors such as yours occur from grease in the dies, thuis eliminating the possibility of the metal flowing into the recesses.
This is not a major errror but proably worth about $2.  Check eBay for similar items.  Good Luck
