Question
My question is about a commemorative collection of my moms that has,(along with stamps)a World war II stamp/coin collection. the pennies in the collection are as listed by US mint:
1942-Lincoln Wheat Penny has original composition.
1943-Lincoln Steel Penny is zinc coated steel because of the need for copper in war effort.
1944-1945- Known as the "Shell Case" pennies minted from melted down copper shell casings.
sooooo... my question is whats the worth in to days market?

Answer
Hello Kiara,

All these coins are common and still available in mint state from dealers.
They were made in the multi-millions and you would be lucky to get fifty cents each for a circulated coin.
If they are never circulated you might be able to get a dollar each for them at retail. Dealers will pay less.
Coins are often put together and packaged this way for sale since there is no real profit in selling them individually.
Thank You and Good Luck
