QUESTION: i have a 2007 platinum eagle 10th anniversary set. i was thinking of selling it and buying a key date coin if platinum goes up any more. do you think i should keep the platinum set, or buy a key date coin. if you think i should buy a key date coin, which coin would you suggest that will be a good investment for the future.(i would have about $3000 to spend). thank you very much for helping me with this.

QUESTION: hi, i just have one more question. i would still have a few hundred to spend, so is there any good coins you would suggest for under $500. do you think the 1857 or 1849 large date half cents would be good to buy? thank you very much.

Answer
I would be looking at KEY DATE coins.  There is always a demand for the keys whether they are the 1921 Mercury Dimes, 1931-S pennies, 1932_D or S quarters, etc.  Check out the Redbook and look for the key dates in each series.
