From the photo, it certainly is a counterfeit 1797 US Silver Dollar. The front and back designs do not match what a genuine 1797 coin should look like. The front is OK but the back is the design that was adopted in 1798
There are many counterfeit coins coming from Asia, and a lot of them make there way onto eBay. If you are a collector, only buy from a reputable dealer. If possible, buy NGC or PCGS certified coins.
