Coin and Paper Money Collecting/star note series

Question
I wondered if you could tell me what a series of 100 notes are worth.  They are 50s year 2004 with the serial number as EK01069201*-EK01069300* not circulated.
With the BEP strap?

Answer
Rachelle,

Unfortunately the number of collectors for this type of item is extremely low, as is the number of dealers interested in dealing with this.  Therefore, you are not likely to get more than a couple hundred dollars over the face value for the entire series.  You would actually have a lot more interested collectors if they were $1 bills.

I suggest you check out the dealer directory on the ANA website -- www.money.org -- looking for paper money dealers, and see if you can find an interested buyer there.

Good luck,

Dan

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.

Experience

I've been a coin dealer since the 1980's and a coin collector since the 1960's. I specialize in U.S. Silver Coins and have an active online website -- The Working Man's Rare Coins -- http://www.workingmancoins.com -- offering information and inventory in U.S. coins.
