Answer
Hello again Pam,
Thank you for the vote of confidence!
I am an expert on United States Coins and only dabble in others.
I would be happy to answer questions from youngsters on USA coins.
I am not an expert on foreign coins and do not have much information on them. There are other experts at this site available for you on foreign coins and currency.
The best catalog and for all Actual facts on all foreign coins is at the library look for the " Standard Catalog of World Coins " put out by Krause as a resource for all coins. They have one volume written for every century of coins made around the world. It describes the alloy, mintage and many other facts and the image of the coin.
Using it to identify the coin and its mintage is easy. Figures for its weight and purity are all there.
Thank You and Good Luck

Hello Pam,
This sounds like a 2 ÖR (pronounced ore) copper of Fredrik I from Sweden.
Coins are valued on the state of preservation they are in. I have seen some for a dollar in lower grade to about $10 in really nice condition.
The Fredrik I 1720-1751 - 2 öre coin was made from 1743-1750. If it is your coin it measures from 33.5 to 34 mm and weighed about 28 grams. I have attached a picture for the 1746 date.
More complete information can be found in a volume of The STANDARD CATALOG of WORLD COINS, your library should have a copy.
Thank You and Good Luck
