Question
QUESTION: i found in my pocket an odd quarter(I'm a small collector for fun, never checked what any coins i have are worth) that has what looks like a bubble or something in between the metal of the coin.  On the head side it looks like a normal mint, but on the eagle side at the feet, it's raised up about 2 millimeters and about 5/16 of and inch in diameter.Around the slope of the raise you can see the print still, but the top is worn do to circulation. Just wondering if it is worth anything, and what may have cause this flaw in the coin.If need I can send pic of coin.

ANSWER: Hi Jack

The layers are delaminating.  These aren't really rare but they are collectable.

The sell for about $10

QUESTION: Just wondering exactly what you mean by delaminating?  That would seem that the raise in the coin might be soft or so and could be pushed in,  but this one seems to be solid.

Answer
Hi Jack,

Since the bubble can not be depressed, there could be a foreign object between the layers, or simply an air bubble that has yet to be released.
Obviously, I am limited in what I can diagnose, but these are the 2 major things I have seen.
