i have a 2001 north carolina quarter that the back side plane and man ,runway look to be hologram is this anything special
It is is a hologram, it is not by US Mint production. There are a number of companies that alter the coins to make them more appealing for resale to the general public.
I have never seena hologram piece but I have seen gold plated and enameled pieces.
