Question
I have a two shillings coin with the name elizabeth.11.dei.Gratia.regina as i turn it over it say fid def 1966 two shillings it also has a flower in the middle and lots of thorns how much will this be worth in english pund and US dollars???

Answer
Hi Kayla,
This coin is fairly common, so there will only be collectible value for one that is in mint condition and still shiny. In that case, it has a value of $2 to $3 on the American market and £2 to £3 on the English market. Coins are nearly always worth slightly more in their country of origin.
One of these coins that has been used will not have a significant value... maybe 50 cents (or 30 pence) or less.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
