Question
I have about 20 Morgan dollars and I would like to know the value of them. They range from 1870 to 1921.

Hi Rachel,

Every date is different.  Also the condition plays a role in evaluating them.

Let's assume for arguments sake that they are all common dates and in average circulated condition.  If this is the case you will probably receive offers between $12 and $15 each for them.

However, if they are  in mint condition and common dates, that price will jump to $22 to $27 per coin.

Now if they are rarer dates, they sky is the limit.  I would need to know the date and mintmark (located below the wreath on the reverse of the coin at about 6 o'clock.  There would be either nothing (denotes Philadelphia), an "S" (San Francisco), an "O" (New Orleans) a "CC" (Carson City)or a "D" (Denver on 1921 only).
