Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Unknow coin. Maybe 1600's or 1700's

Question

Old Coin
I just came back from an auction where I picked up a bag of non-US coins. Most are fairly current, some from the 1800's but this one I can not date and I have no idea what it is. It is fairly thin and about the size of US Quarter. I believe it is copper or bronze. I can not really read anything but "PHILIPP V8" on the obverse and the reverse has a shield and crown. Any idea on what this could be and what it could be worth? I would guess 1600's or 1700's.

Answer
Hi Alex, it looks like it may be a copper Spanish 16 maravedis coin of the 1600's. It is too worn to make out a date or denomination number on the shield side. Probably worth about a dollar.
