Question
hello,  im hoping you can help me find out the value of a  1935A $1 silver certificate, but it has a gold seal. But its also got Hawaii stamped on the front of it on both ends? Also can you please refer me where i can find a price guide to find out the value of my other silver certs. I would like to be able to take my coins and certs in to be appraised but want to be atleast somewhat educated about it. thanks

Answer
Hi Jeanine,
The 1935A Hawaii $1 Note is worth anywhere from $20 to $50 in used condition. and anywhere from $100 and up in Mint condition.
As for the other coins, anything in print will be dated due to the movement in the precious metals markets, howvere you could get a copy of the Guidebook to US Coins by R.S. Yeoman.  It lists retail prices, not necessarily what you would get if you sell, but will indicate which coins are better than others.
If this helped you, please rate my answer and possibly nominate me for Expert of the Month.
