Question
I found a 1971 half dollar that on the front side with the face there is a second ring. It appears to be doubled stamped all around the edge but only the ring and nothing else. Is this coin worth anything more? It has the delaware mint mark.

Answer
Hello James,

This is usually caused by a machine that rolls the coins.

This is not done at the US Mint and is not an error coin. Therefore it has no premium value to collectors.

Sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear but keep looking there are errors out there.

Good Luck,
