have coin as above with head of Wilhelm Deutscher Kaiser Konig V Preussen with what appears to be an A under the bust. please provide any background and value for this coin. thank you

Hi Steve, There were 2 million of these German kingdom of Prussia 5 Mark coins minted that year in Berlin (A) featuring King Wilhelm I (1861-88). It contains .8038 of an ounce of silver and collector value may be worth about $14 with heavy wear to around $35 with moderate wear to maybe $225 with light wear.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
