Question

Silver 15 Kreuzer
I came across this coin and the only information I can find was at this web site http://www.barber.org.uk/coins/ifmaria.html I can find no other references to this date and was wondering if you had any info.

Answer
Hi George, this is a 15 krajczar from the other half of the empire, Hungary. It features Madonna and Child, a standard feature of Hungarian coins of that period. It contains .1158 of an ounce of silver. It was minted at Kremnitz (KB) and collector value may be worth about $5 with heavy wear to around $15 with moderate wear to maybe $25 with light wear. Yours may be worth about $10.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
