I do have a Silver Coin and the following information would help to acknowledge  
1) "United Sates of America"
2) with "EAGLE"
3) 420 Grains 900 Fine
4) Trade Dollar
Back of Coin
1) Year 1872
2)Liberty
3)In God we Trust  

condition: Mint

Answer
Hi Miqbal, U.S. Trade Dollars were minted for use 1873 through 1878. Proof versions were minted 1879 through 1885. One with an 1872 date is an obvious fake, not a rarity. It has no collector value.

You might also try a library for a copy of the Guidebook of United States Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
