I have two old coins,first is a 1919, 25 cent piece.one side reads GEORGIVS V DEI GRA REX CT IND IMP, MAN WITH CROWN.OTHER SIDE HAS LEAVES AROUND EDGE, 25 CENTS, CANADA 1919, CROWN AT TOP OF COIN. appears to be in very good condition. next coin is from 1924, one side has man with crown, around edge it reads GEORGIVS V. D. G. BRITT OMN REX F. D. IND IMP other side has a standing bird %26 a kangaroo, it reads around edge, one florin two shillings 1924, in ribbon below animals it reads ADVANCE AUSTRALIA, coin appears to be in very good condition. my questions are, what were their original value in American money, also are they rare, and lastly, what is their collectable value in American money.

Hi Sam, Canada 1919 25 cents, British King George V (1910-36), .1734 of an ounce of silver, collector value may be worth about $3 with heavy wear to around $10 with moderate wear to maybe $25 with light wear. Worth about .25 back then.
Australia, 1924 1 florin (2 shillings), British King George V (1910-36), .3363 of an ounce of silver, $6, $60, $320 in the same conditions as listed above. Worth about .50 back then.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
