What is the value of a 1943 copper Lincoln penny?
Hi Mark, Only a few exist as steel cents were minted that year. If genuine, it is worth tens of thousands of dollars. Certification is required.
You might take it by a local coin shop for a first hand opinion: http://find.mapmuse.com/interest/coin_dealers .
However, 99.9% of them out there are fakes. Try checking it with a magnet -- if it sticks, it's a fake.
